The Service Technician position assists with all in-house and off-site repairs, maintenance, and testing tasks along with warehouse shipping and receiving duties. The role is responsible for safe and efficient methods of repair evaluation and completion. Technicians will be expected to diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions. The position will be trained on maintenance and installation of equipment as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Must be a self-starter with the desire to work as part of the team.
- Maintain a positive and instructional interaction with customers.
- Carry out mechanical and electronic repairs on equipment.
- Capable of learning to troubleshoot problems with equipment in person, over the phone, and/or through email.
- Great communication skills: written and verbal. Will utilize telephone, e-mail, and person-to-person forms of communication.
- Produce timely and detailed service reports.
- Travel as needed for installation and/or repair of equipment.
- Plan and execute service and shipments.
- Oversee warehouse functions of receiving, managing stock supply, and shipping of purchase orders received.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The ability to see distinctions in colors and shapes is also required. This position is moderately active and requires standing and walking for the duration of the shift. Must be able to lift 35 – 90 lbs.

Required Education and Experience
· Must have a High School Diploma.
· Must have Associates Degree in a technical training field (Computers, Electronics Diagnostics, etc.) OR minimum of 2 years of full-time work experience in a technical repair field can be substituted in place of the Associates Degree.
· Ability to learn and use MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and QuickBooks.
Must speak English and communicate effectively
